Behavioral Medicine
Behavioral and emotional issues are extremely common in
patients suffering
from spine related pain. Loss of income from inability to
work, neglected
housework, missed social functions and forgotten recreational
activities,
all can cause significant depression. The frustration of going to many
different doctors to find the cause of the pain makes the
situation worse.
It is extremely important to be able to talk about these issues with a
behavioral pain specialist. Our qualified doctors address this part of
the spinal pain problem along with the medical doctors and
physical therapists.
An integrated care plan is developed to promote a holistic
approach.
Behavioral Specialists: Nanci Nilles, Psy. D. and Carla Teeds,
Ph.D.
